Head of Product Design

Responsibilities + Key Requirements

 The Product team within MF9.world works to create visual experiences in which ours and our clients stories, voice, and businesses come to life. Pushing Culture forward through understanding and innovation is paramount and our commitment to developing brands inevitably begins with brand strategy where we together define a brand’s point of view. We see this as a type of therapy—articulating the existential questions that a brand is then poised to answer. We develop an individual strategy experience tailored for each client and their needs.

The HEAD OF PRODUCT DESIGN will mentor, lead, and collaborate to manage and create product-based solutions to a large variety of problems ranging from simple client-oriented projects to complex multi-category systems, to the conceptual and unexpected. The ability to lead and collaborate with other creatives partners and non-creative team members in the development of ideas is fundamental to the role. Knowing when to step-up, own, and pivot is key. The HEAD OF PRODUCT DESIGN will help make the team better and stronger through, trust, collaboration, approach, methodology, craft, and mentorship.

  • You are naturally curious and passionate about design — with a keen awareness of the evolving landscape of available tools, technologies, resources, and trends. You lead and Adapt toward Innovation.
  • You have outstanding conceptual and problem-solving skills.
  • Handle/oversee that all production artwork is done correctly and on time
  • Innovate production artwork/tech packs
  • Assist in factory communication and overseas production
  • Work with and lead Production Team to ensure that all projects are done on time, on budget, and to our quality standards
  • Oversee the design and execution of Techpacks within and outside PLM to ensure accuracy, and quality for all projects.
  • Collaborate with other Graphic Designers, Senior Designers and Art Directors to bring product concepts to life.
  • Research, Source, and Maintain a database, and dialogue with current, and future manufacturing partners
  • Lead, design and execute product-based solutions with respect for the client’s or project’s needs, schedule, and budget.
